Size guide

Ring

A ring size is the inside circumference of the band in millimetres, and that number is the UAE and EU size itself — a 52 is 52 mm around. Measure the circumference and give that one number on the order form, with the scale set to UAE or EU. If the size you already know is a US one, choose US instead and give it unchanged.

How to measure

  1. 1Wrap a strip of paper snugly round the base of the finger, mark where it meets itself, and measure to the mark in millimetres. That is the number the form asks for.
  2. 2Measuring a ring that already fits gives you the inside diameter instead, which is a different number: multiply it by 3.14 for the circumference — 16.6 mm across is 52 mm around. Give the circumference, never the diameter.
  3. 3Measure at the end of the day. A ring fitted to a cold morning finger will be tight by evening.
  4. 4A wide band sits tighter than a thin one. If the design is broad, go up half a size.

What the order form asks

These are the fields and hints from the order form for this piece, read from the same catalogue the form reads.

Ring size
Measure a ring that already fits the right finger, or wrap a strip of paper around the finger and measure its length. Measure at the end of the day, when the finger is at its warmest.
